Welcome to Liberty & Light Counseling
You don’t have to navigate this alone.
Storms come in many forms — anxiety that won’t quiet, relationships that feel strained, questions about faith, identity, or direction. In the midst of them, it can be difficult to see clearly or feel steady.
Liberty & Light is a space to pause and breathe. A place to untangle what feels heavy and move toward greater clarity, deeper connection, and the kind of freedom that grows through compassionate presence and honest reflection.
You might be here because…
A transition has unsettled you — and you’re trying to find your footing again.
You feel discouraged, disconnected, or not quite like yourself.
Relationships feel strained, distant, or reactive.
Anxiety, sadness, or numbness seem harder to shake.
You keep repeating patterns you don’t fully understand.
You long for deeper clarity about who you are and how you relate to others.
My Approach
Therapy at Liberty & Light is rooted in connection and curiosity. The patterns that feel discouraging or confusing are often meaningful responses to earlier experiences. Together, we explore those patterns with compassion and insight.
I approach therapy through a humanistic, psychodynamic lens, honoring both the deeper roots of your story and the resilience that already lives within you.
My work integrates:
• Relational therapy
• Attachment-based perspectives
• Trauma-informed care
• Experiential approaches
I pay close attention to how your past experiences, attachment patterns, and current relationships are shaping the present. At times, our work may be reflective and exploratory. At other times, it may be experiential — helping you feel and process emotions in new, more freeing ways.
Above all, you can expect a steady presence. Therapy here is collaborative. Together we listen for the deeper roots beneath the surface, creating space for clarity, connection, and meaningful change to emerge.
Even the small details in the room are chosen intentionally — gentle reminders to slow down, breathe, and approach change with steadiness. Sometimes growth happens not through rushing toward answers, but through creating enough safety and light to see the next step clearly.

The Heart Behind Liberty & Light Counseling
Finding the right therapist matters. While much of that sense of “fit” is felt in conversation, I hope this offers a glimpse into who I am and how I work.
For more than twenty years, I have studied relationships, identity, and the lasting impact of trauma. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have advanced training in the Gottman Method (Level 2), Emotionally Focused Therapy, and experiential approaches that support meaningful emotional change.
At Liberty & Light Counseling, I provide therapy for relationship challenges, anxiety, trauma recovery, life transitions, and personal growth, working with both individuals and couples in Liberty, Missouri, and via telehealth across the state.
My approach is relational and attachment-informed, grounded in the belief that many of our struggles make sense when understood within the context of our stories. Clients often describe our work together as thoughtful, connected, and gently transformative.
Although my Christian faith is foundational to who I am personally, I deeply respect and honor each client’s unique worldview. Therapy is your space — my role is to meet you with steadiness, curiosity, and care.
Outside the therapy room, I’m a wife, mother of four, and someone who values time with friends and family, reading, creating, and being outdoors. It is a privilege to walk alongside people as they rediscover clarity, strength, and light within their own stories.
